Jordan Love made a surprisingly bone-headed decision against the Los Angeles Rams, throwing a pick-six that fans claimed had shades of Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis
Jordan Love was likened to Will Levis after the Green Bay Packers quarterback tossed a horrendous pick-six against the Los Angeles Rams.
On Sunday, the 2-2 Packers took on the 1-3 Rams at SoFi Stadium. With just over two minutes remaining in a tied first half, Love and the Packers offense were set to start from their eight-yard line.
After snapping the ball, Love wheeled right but ran deep into his own end zone. When pressured and hit by Rams sophomore linebacker Byron Young, Love stumbled and tried to avoid a safety by throwing the ball – but it was not a good move.
Love flipped the ball directly to Rams cornerback Jaylen McCollough, who gleefully accepted the interception and returned the ball four yards for the pick-six. The play gave the Rams a 14-7 lead and could have been avoided but for Love’s poor decision, with the surrendered touchdown ultimately providing heavier consequences than a two-point safety.
The interception marked a pair of firsts: it was the first career pick-six for Love as well as the first interception of the rookie McCollough’s career. Naturally, fans took to social media to ridicule the Packers quarterback in the wake of the play. Sam Monson (@SamMonsonNFL) posted: “Jordan Love just went full Will Levis.”
Big Game Bengal (@BengalYouTube) also compared Love to Levis, writing: “Titans have a BYE this week but we still got our Will Levis moment via Jordan Love. wtf are you doing.”

Levis has endured a tumultuous season with the Tennessee Titans, with the second-year quarterback seemingly making horrendously head-scratching decisions and plays on a weekly basis. Against the Chicago Bears in Week 1, he threw a horrible pick-six that left Levis on his knees with his hands on his head in disbelief.
Levis then added an inexplicable fumble against the New York Jets, leaving the Titans at 0-2 despite being in promising positions. However, Love bounced back from his erroneous moment to lead the Packers to a crucial win.
Following the awful pick-six, Love went seven of seven for 141 yards and two touchdowns as the Packers went on to secure a 24-19 win over the Rams. Love, who inked a four-year deal worth $220 million earlier this offseason, finished with 224 yards, leading the Packers to a third win of the season that takes the franchise above .500.
Love now has five interceptions in just three games, which is perhaps not what the franchise envisioned by giving him the blockbuster contract. However, he inspired the team to a bounceback win, and the Packers next take on the 2-3 Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field in Week 6 on Sunday, Oct. 13.
