Kim Kardashian is out with the old and with the new as she starts some construction.
The SKIMS founder started tearing down her $60 million mansion in Hidden Hills, California to start renovations. She once shared the home with ex-husband, Kanye “Ye” West. The pair first purchased the home back in 2014 for a reported $20 million and the rapper later spent an extra $40 million on renovations.
Pictures show the house being torn down with cranes on sight and fencing blocking off the tennis court as it was surrounded by machinery. The minimalist property features eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a cinema, a basketball court, and a huge swimming pool.

Kanye West secures nontraditional loans to buy $35 million Beverly Hills mansion with Bianca Censori
According to The Sun, Kim bought Kanye out of his share of the home for a reported $23 million. She owns four other additional properties nearby.
Kanye collaborated with Axel Vervoordt to design the interior of the house which features white, cream, and gray throughout the décor and wooden accents in the open-plan kitchen, dining area, and living room. The two spoke about what went into he inspiration on the house in 2020 on Architectural Digest.
Kanye said: “When I saw the kind of work he was doing, I thought, ‘This man could design Batman’s house’. I had to work with him. It was a coup to get Axel to come to Calabasas to redo a McMansion, which is essentially what the house was.”
Axel added: “Kanye and Kim wanted something totally new. We didn’t talk about decoration but a kind of philosophy about how we live now and how we will live in the future. We changed the house by purifying it, and we kept pushing to make it purer and purer.”
Before the two called off their marriage in March 2022, they lived in the home with their four kids, North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5. They tied the knot after years of friendship in May 2014 and dated for three years.
Kanye and his wife, Bianca Censori, recently bought a $35 million Beverly Hills mansion. The pair secured financing for the property in a much more nontraditional way, branching out to private investors rather than banks. It’s expected that they won’t be living in the mansion, but rather renting it out for a bit of extra revenue.
