Kristin Cavallari and Mark Estes “were on different pages” about their “long-term” goals before their breakup.
The “Hills” star, 37, announced her split from the 24-year-old influencer over the weekend, however, an insider told Us Weekly there wasn’t any major drama between the two.
“As they started to get more serious in their relationship, issues started to surface,” the source told the outlet. “They kept having conversations about the future but weren’t aligned.”
According to the insider, Estes had been very vocal about his desire to “settle down and start a family” from “the start.”
“Having another baby was something Kristin wasn’t sure she was on the same page about,” the insider shared.
According to the source, the pair’s 13-year age gap also started to become a “big factor” in their relationship as Cavallari loves being “independent” whereas Estes is looking for something more stable.
“Them being in different stages of life was the dealbreaker,” they added.
Despite their split, the source insisted the pair are still on good terms.
“Kristin really liked Mark and enjoyed their time together, and there’s no animosity between them,” they told the outlet.
“They genuinely had a lot of fun but it ran its course. She is excited to focus on herself, her businesses and her kids right now.”
