LaBrant Family Faces Backlash for Dancing to Diddy’s Song After His Arrest

The LaBrant family is under fire after Cole LaBrant shared a controversial TikTok video of himself dancing with his daughter to a song by Sean “Diddy” Combs, following the hip-hop mogul’s recent arrest in a federal sex trafficking investigation.

In the TikTok clip, Cole, 28, and his 11-year-old daughter, Everleigh, perform a choreographed dance to Diddy’s 1997 hit “I’ll Be Missing You.” While this song was once a TikTok favorite, its popularity has waned significantly in light of the serious allegations against Diddy.

The reaction from the online community has been swift and harsh. Many users criticized the influencers for their seemingly tone-deaf choice of music, particularly given the context of Diddy’s arrest. One commenter on X (formerly Twitter) remarked, “I find it incredibly weird that Cole LaBrant picked a Diddy song to dance to with his stepdaughter.”

Diddy’s legal troubles began escalating in 2023 after his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura filed a civil lawsuit against him, which was settled the next day. However, that was just the beginning, as numerous other lawsuits emerged with similar accusations. Following months of legal issues, Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by Homeland Security, leading to his arrest earlier this month on multiple charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

Currently, Diddy is being held at a detention center in Brooklyn. Prosecutors argued that he could be a flight risk, prompting the judge to deny his bail request, which included a $50 million bond. His defense attorneys are preparing to appeal the decision.

The Mirror has reached out to Cole LaBrant for comment regarding the backlash. As the controversy unfolds, it raises questions about the appropriateness of content shared in the midst of serious allegations. .Vuong.
