The sudden death of One Direction star Liam Payne last month left the world in shock.
The singer tragically died on October 16 at the age of 31 after falling from the third floor of an Argentinian hotel, Casa Sur Palmero. It was reported that Liam had been behaving erratically and was escorted back to his room shortly before the fatal incident. Hotel staff described him as “an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol.”
He was also seen “acting erratically in the hotel lobby and smashed his laptop” before he “had to be carried back to his room.” Tragically, shortly after this, a loud noise was heard in the courtyard and Liam’s body was discovered around 5pm local time.

Audio obtained by MailOnline from the Buenos Aires security ministry revealed a call from a worker requesting help with an intoxicated guest. The worker said: “When he is conscious he is destroying the entire room and we need you to send someone.”
Alberto Crescenti, director of emergency medical services, spoke to local news outlet Clarin following Liam’s death, reports the Mirror.
He confirmed: “We verified his identity using the passport he had,” and added: “The team saw that he apparently had a fracture at the base of the skull.”
In a shocking turn of events, Buenos Aires police confirmed the tragic death of Liam James Payne, the talented composer and guitarist known for his time with One Direction. The statement read: “Liam James Payne, composer and guitarist, former member of the band One Direction, died today after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Palermo.”
Before the tragedy, Liam had taken to social media to share his excitement about traveling to Argentina, saying: “We’re going to Argentina. One, because we have to, and two, because we want to, and three, because Niall Horan’s playing down there and I think we might just go and say ‘Hello.'”
He added, “It’s been a while since me and Niall have spoken. We’ve got a lot to talk about and I would like to square up a couple things with the boy. No bad vibes or nothing like that, but just, we need to talk.”
The singer was in South America with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, and had been active on social media just hours before the incident. Liam shared images of himself enjoying local cuisine and spoke of plans to play polo.
In a video featuring Kate at breakfast, he remarked: “This is the breakfast table, just enjoying breakfast and coffee even though it’s 1pm.”
He also mentioned they were staying at a friend’s house, as Kate humorously called them “losers” for sleeping in.
However, following a toxicology report indicating the presence of a class-A drug in Liam’s system, there have been numerous unsettling allegations regarding the beloved father’s final hours, including claims that he was targeted by drug dealers.
Just hours before his tragic fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Liam had reached out to two women via an Argentine website, sparking questions about the personal battles he was grappling with in the days leading up to his untimely death. Gemidos, a well-known portal in Argentina where hundreds of women offer companionship complete with photos and detailed descriptions, was his platform of choice.
Upon their arrival, both women were asked to present their IDs at the front desk. Despite being strangers to each other, Lucile and Aldana were led to Liam’s room 310.
The former One Direction star greeted them with a calm demeanor and a welcoming smile. Inside the room, the atmosphere was reportedly laid-back. Liam offered the ladies alcohol – champagne for them and a bottle of scotch for himself. According to their statements to the police, no drugs were involved.
The room was littered with half-empty glasses, remnants of their brief encounter. In their testimonies, both women denied any role in Liam’s death, stating they had only spent a short time with him, had some drinks, and left when a payment dispute arose.
Neither woman confessed to having intimate relations with him, carefully avoiding the topic during questioning. Despite their vague responses, Prosecutor Roma trusts their accounts and does not view them as suspects.
In the aftermath of his death, three individuals are currently under investigation as local law enforcement tries to unravel how Liam came into possession of illegal substances. It has since been alleged that Liam had requested a hotel employee to procure “seven grams” of “cocaine” before his demise.
Allegedly, Class A drugs were smuggled into Liam’s hotel room, concealed in a Dove soap box. Hotel staff have since claimed that only employees can access the area where soap supplies are stored.
One of those charged is reportedly Liam’s friend Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores, who was with Liam daily. According to a statement from the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office, one of those charged is the person who “accompanied the artist on a daily basis during his stay in the city of Buenos Aires.”
This individual is “charged with the crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death – contemplated in article 106 of the Penal Code and which provides for a prison sentence of 5 to 15 years, as perpetrator, in ideal concurrence with the supply and facilitation of narcotics (art. 5 inc. e) of Law 23.737 on Narcotics).”
The second person is a hotel employee, charged with “two proven supplies of cocaine to Liam Payne during the period he was at the hotel.” And the third person, also a narcotics supplier, is “charged with two other clearly proven supplies at two different times on 14 October.”
A statement from the office of prosecutor Andres Esteban Madrea revealed: “Liam Payne was not fully conscious or was experiencing a state of noticeable decrease or loss of consciousness at the time of the fall.”
The document also accuses a hotel employee of providing Liam with cocaine on two occasions during his stay, and mentions a third person allegedly supplying drugs to the singer twice on October 14. The prosecutor’s office disclosed that their investigation included numerous testimonies and the analysis of hundreds of hours of CCTV footage.
Additionally, they conducted a “forensic extraction” on Liam’s mobile phone, scrutinizing his calls, messages, and social media activity.
