She then went on to explain how the deceased actor opening up seemed like something was looming.
[Matthew] came up to me, and he said, I love you so much, and Im so happy to be with you now. It was almost as though it was a premonition or something, Suzanne added.
Suzanne shared with Savannah that she didnt think much of her sons heartfelt remark at the time, despite the comment sounding somewhat unusual.
How long has it been since weve had a conversation like that? Its been years,’ she said she thought to herself. I think there was something; there was an inevitability to what was going to happen next to him, and he felt it very strongly.
Suzanne continued: But he said, Im not frightened anymore, and it worried me. The full interview that Savannah did with Suzanne, Keith, and other Perry family members is going to air on Today next Monday as it will mark the first anniversary of Matthews passing.
The Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing died in his hot tub at his residence in Los Angeles, California, on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiners Office announced that Matthew died from acute effects of ketamine, with drowning and coronary artery disease being listed as contributing factors, Page Six reported.
Before he died Matthew had been very transparent about his past drug addiction and publicly stated that he was now sober after battling addiction for decades. However, in a press conference that happened in August, Los Angeles prosecutors said that Matthew had relapsed and started spiraling out of control with his use of ketamine.
Five people have been charged in connection to Matthews death. Matthews assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, Erik Fleming, Dr. Mark Chavez, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, and Jasveen Sangha, aka The Ketamine Queen, are the five who have been charged. Matthew is survived by his family and friends.
