The much-awaited NCIS: Tony and Ziva spin-off is setting the stage to showcase beloved characters Special Agent Anthony ‘Tony’ DiNozzo, played by Michael Weatherly, and crowd-pleaser Ziva David, portrayed by Cote de Pablo, right in the spotlight.

As anticipation builds for the new CBS series, die-hard NCIS enthusiasts are deep in discussion regarding how the spin-off might divert from the original show’s format.

One overjoyed fan buzzed on Reddit about recent updates seen on IMDb, signaling that soon viewers will get a glimpse of the cast and can nibble on the plot thanks to a recently added brief summary, reports the Mirror.

Fan @PupBiscuit posted on Reddit: “NCIS: tony and ziva IMDb page is out with cast. Been waiting for this to come out and keeping an eye on it.”

They also spotted: “Came across its imdb page which confirms the release date in 2025 and the cast that will be in the first season.”

Not stopping there, the fan dished out the storyline teaser, with the synopsis reading: “After Ziva’s apparent death, Tony raises their daughter, Tali.

“Years later, Ziva returns and reunites with Tony. Tony’s company is attacked, and the family travels to Europe, trying to learn who’s after them and to trust each other again.”

Thrilled about the sneak peek, the original poster speculated on the series construction, saying this snippet “makes me wonder at what the structure of the show is going to be like”.

Curiosity piqued, they pondered: “Makes me wonder will it be similar to what we know or a completely different structure?

“Also lot of executive producers and director are lesser known ones. Edit: it also confirms only 10 episodes in first season.” (sic)

The spin-off for NCIS: Tony and Ziva was announced back in February 2024 and is confirmed to be coming to Paramount+ in the UK with a 10-episode run for its first season.

At the time, showrunner John McNamara penned a joint statement with the show’s two leads, which read: “We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now with John at the helm, we are ready.

“The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fuelled by love, danger, tears and laughter.

“We also want to acknowledge and thank the fans from around the world who supported the ‘TIVA’ movement for years.

“To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now. This is for you.”

NCIS: Tony & Ziva is coming to Paramount+ soon, with an official release date yet to be announced. NCIS is also available to stream on Disney+.
