One of hip-hop’s wealthiest and most famous figures, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, now finds himself behind bars. Last week, the 54-year-old music mogul was taken into custody in New York, facing serious charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. Over the past year, multiple lawsuits have emerged against him, alleging various forms of abuse, including one from his former girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Elizabeth Ventura.
The American record producer made headlines when agents from Homeland Security executed searches at his luxurious residences in Beverly Hills, California, and Miami, Florida. The raids, which took place in March, involved heavily armed law enforcement officials interacting with those present in the homes.
Authorities reportedly seized over a thousand bottles of baby oil and lubricants, along with AR-15 rifles, as part of a significant investigation detailed in grand jury indictment documents obtained by The Mirror. These documents indicate that the raids uncovered various items associated with notorious “Freak Off” parties, including illegal substances and a substantial quantity of oily products.
In response to the law enforcement actions, Diddy’s attorney, Aaron Dyer, criticized the heavy-handed tactics employed during the searches: “Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the treatment of his children and employees.”
Dyer further asserted, “This unprecedented ambush—combined with a coordinated media presence—leads to a premature rush to judgment against Mr. Combs, portraying this as nothing more than a witch hunt based on unfounded claims made in civil lawsuits. There has been no determination of criminal or civil liability for any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every day to clear his name.”
Rumors about Diddy’s secretive “freak off” parties surfaced during the raids. These extravagant gatherings are alleged to have included illegal substances, concealed cameras, sex workers, and underage girls. Reports suggest that Diddy had specific rooms in his Miami mansion designed for sexual encounters, complete with surveillance equipment.
Allegations further assert that Diddy’s multi-day orgies, referred to as “freak offs,” involved participants who were either of questionable age or barely legal, with claims that some women were coerced into sexual acts with male prostitutes. The indictment outlines that at these events, Diddy would engage in physical and verbal abuse towards the victims, even dragging them by their hair to compel participation, subjecting them to physical, emotional, and verbal abuse.
Both Combs and the victims are said to have received IV fluids to recover after these events. A police source informed The New York Post that Diddy often watched the sexual activities from another room, utilizing his phone to monitor events remotely and cast them onto a television. This way, he didn’t always have to be physically present, although he frequently was.
The source also revealed that Diddy kept videos of these “sensitive, embarrassing, and incriminating” activities as a means of control, ensuring the victims’ compliance and silence.
Cassie has accused Combs of rape and a decade-long pattern of abuse, claiming the misconduct began when she was only 19. Last year, Diddy vehemently denied these allegations and has since pleaded not guilty to the federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, expressed confidence outside the courthouse on September 17, stating, “Mr. Combs is a fighter; he’s going to fight this to the end. He’s innocent. He came to New York to establish his innocence. He’s not afraid of the charges.”
