Prince William is gearing up to go head-to-head with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as his brand new documentary is set to premiere on Disney+.

Prince William: We Can End Homelessness will make its debut on the streaming giant on November 1, as confirmed by Disney+. This two-part series offers an exclusive glimpse into the first year of William’s Homewards initiative with The Royal Foundation, aiming to shift public opinion and prove that ending homelessness is achievable.

The release of the documentary will see William get pitted against the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who signed a lucrative contract with Netflix in 2020 after stepping back from the Royal Family.

Meghan and Harry ‘s Netflix deal is worth $100million over five years. They also had a deal with Spotify, which ended in 2023.

Meghan and Harry are currently developing two new programs for Netflix. The Duke of Sussex is focusing on a polo-themed project, while Meghan is crafting a lifestyle series tied to her new brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Harry and Meghan have previously created a number of shows for the streaming giant, including their bombshell docuseries titled Harry & Meghan. The Duke of Sussex also created Heart of Invictus, which told the story of his Invictus Games.

The pair were also behind Live to Lead. This show featured interviews with world leaders and influencers, including Greta Thunberg and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Before airing on Disney+, William’s documentary will be broadcast at 9pm on ITV1 on October 30 and 31. While addressing the rift with his brother, William seems to have extended an unexpected peace offering to Harry in a clip from the documentary.

Praising their late mother, Princess Diana, for her influence on his commitment to charitable causes, William reflected: “I have taken some inspiration and guidance from what my mother did, particularly with homelessness. That has grown more over the last few years…”

He acknowledged Harry’s shared experiences, noting: “She took Harry and I both there. I must have been about 11, I think probably… Maybe 10. I’d never been to anything like that before.”
