Argentine police said they had taken statements from five different people in connection with Liam Paynes death, including two women and three hotel staff. Two of the women questioned were those who had been with the former One Direction member in the hotel room a few hours before his death.
According to the statements, both were in the room with Liam but left before the incident occurred. The police investigation is currently moving towards determining the possibility of third-party intervention in the events before the victims death. However, the police emphasized that everything currently shows that the star born in 1993 was alone when the accident occurred and had been abusing drugs.
It is possible that Liam was in a semi-conscious state when he fell from the balcony on the third floor of the room where he was staying. Based on the position of the body and the injuries from the fall, it is possible that Liam did not have the reflexes to defend himself, the police said.
In addition, when analyzing the late artists hands, forensic experts said they found no defensive wounds, and no evidence of anyone elses intervention. Meanwhile, the police found various substances in his room, possibly drugs and alcoholic beverages, and some objects were also broken.
