SPORT NEWS: NFL power rankings Week 13: Steelers drop after tough loss to Browns.Vuong

The Pittsburgh Steelers saw their five-game winning streak snapped on Thursday night after dropping their road matchup against the Cleveland Browns, 24-19.

There was no shortage of hype for the Steelers being a contender after they beat the Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens in recent weeks, so its surprising to see some taking the sky-is-falling approach with the Steelers following just one loss.

Granted, it was an upset at the hands of the lowly Browns, but upsets happen in the NFL and putting so much stock into one bad loss is just silly, especially when you consider the winning streak Pittsburgh was on and the inclement weather head coach Mike Tomlins squad had to deal with in the losing effort.

Despite the loss, the Steelers will maintain their spot atop AFC North no matter what the Ravens do on Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers.

While were clearly not overreacting to the Steelers third loss of the season, are experts taking the same approach in their NFL power rankings for Week 13?

Lets find out.

NFL power rankings Week 13

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: 7 (-3)

Iyer: The defense had one of its best games vs. the run in Cleveland, but the offense didnt quite make enough big plays in the snow. Russell Wilson will need to help the Steelers pick up the pieces fast with the Ravens still on their heels.

Jeremy Cluff, Arizona Republic: 7 (-2)

Cluff: That loss to the Browns stung, and not just because of the snow in Cleveland. Pittsburghs AFC North lead is down to one game.

Taylor Wirth, NBC Sports: 8 (-5)

Wirth: Nothing embodies Steeler football more than an ugly, low-scoring battle in the snow. This wasnt exactly that kind of game. The opposing quarterback, who still might be partially blind, and his offense showed more grit in a blizzard and escaped with a win that Pittsburgh should have run away with.

Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut: 5 (-2)

Johnson: Despite what George Pickens said, snow isnt to blame for that Thursday Night Football loss, theres no excuse for dropping that game. Its a brutal loss for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as it puts them two-plus games back of the No. 1 seed in the AFC and the AFC North race is now open again. Its also a reminder that for as great as this defense is, there isnt enough offensive firepower to win multiple playoff games in January.
