Ten Hag is in trouble! “Manchester United players” have unanimously chosen a “new manager” if he is dismissed from his position soon.
October 1, 2024 Daily Star, a famous media outlet in England, recently reported that Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, is in a difficult position after the players in the team have less and less confidence in him, following his latest performance in the English Premier League.
Ten Hag recently led the Manchester United team to a dismal 0-3 home defeat to Spurs, making the team win 2, draw 1 and lose 3 in the Premier League after 7 matches, with only 7 points, dropping to 13th place in the standings, and facing pressure to change the manager.
The Daily Star recently revealed that Manchester United players are ready to support Ruud van Nistelrooy, the club’s legendary striker who is currently Erik ten Hag’s right-hand man, to become the team manager instead if the board really decides to sack the Dutch coach.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has made a huge impact in the dressing room since rejoining United this summer, with United players ready to push for his appointment as Ten Hag’s replacement should there be a change in manager, sources say.
However, The Telegraph reported that Man Utd will still give Erik ten Hag the chance to manage the team for another 2 matches, in the Europa League away to Porto on October 3, followed by the Premier League away to Aston Villa on October 6, before considering his future during the international break.
