A road rage incident led to the death of a young father, remembered as a bright spot, as the shooter was taken into custody by Ohio police
An ordinary Monday morning turned tragic in Dayton, Ohio, when Jordan Price, aged 20, and 59-year-old Derwin Wilds clashed in a horrific road rage incident that led to the death of the young father.
Records reveal that after a heated road rage dispute, Price stepped out of his vehicle on Roy Messer Highway to confront Wilds, leading to Wilds fatally shooting him.
“There was no reason for this, none. If you’re that mad and driving, then go back home and seek Jesus. Because that’s not right,” lamented Tabitha Price, mourning her son.

Charges of voluntary manslaughter are now pinned on Wilds, with court proceedings set for October 3.
Jordan was a doting father to a 15-month-old boy and Jefferson County High School alumnus. “If there was a dark room anywhere and my son walked in, it was the brightest room in the world,” she fondly reminisced. The family is now fundraising for the young mother of his child.
The City of Dayton has been experiencing a rise in violence this year. In 2023, Dayton recorded 24 homicides. However, by September 22 of this year, the homicide count has already hit 32.
Derwin Wilds, 59, from Newport, has been charged with voluntary manslaughter and is currently detained at the Jefferson County Justice Center.
Elsewhere in Tennesee, the search for a 23-year-old woman who went missing over a month ago has come to a tragic end after police confirmed that human remains found inside a home were her body.
Blanca Guadalupe Berrios Orellana, of Antioch, a neighborhood of Nashville, was reported missing by her mother on August 21. Three days before, she had told her mother she was heading to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to visit a family member – but she never arrived.
On September 12, police found human remains in a Wilson County home that was under construction. Tragically, DNA analysis has confirmed that the remains are of the young woman, authorities said.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said in a statement: “DNA analysis has confirmed that the human remains found on September 12 at a property on Burnt House Road in Wilson County are those of missing 23-year-old Blanca Guadalupe Berrios Orellana. Her mother reported Orellana missing on August 21 after she said she was heading to Murfreesboro.
After Blanca was reported missing, her mother Ines Berrios told News 2 through a translator: “Some days, I think they took her and some days, I don’t really think anything.” She added: “I can’t express how I feel because I lost every light. My daughter’s light.”
